Moving out of the Prototype phase


It is not so much an announcement as it's just acknowledging the reality of things; I'm moving on from just having the game as a prototype, to working more seriously on it.

I'll try to get a demo up soon, but I still need to do a bit of polish, mainly implement som audio and menus. I'm also trying to get a friend of mine to do some narrative work on the game, so there is a(n interesting) story. But don't expext the most exciting things from the demo on that front just yet.

While the most of the core mechanics are in place, there are still many things that need to bee added still to make it more interesting and more challenging. Some things I have in mind are:

  • Exploits - files that can be found on computers that allows to do a specific action against a specific computer without having to hack the computer first.
  • Effects/Abilites on Deamons and ICE - Making it so that chosing  the right deamon for the job is important, and not just about having the bigger number. New deamons can be found on computeres or bought.
  • Run multiple Deamons at once - Right now, you can only run one deamon at the time i.e. only do one action at the time. I'm contemplating upgrades, where one would be the ability to have multiple deamons at work at once. There might be a trade off associated with it, but thoes details need to be tested.
